Bathhouse attendant’s tips:

Here’s an ice bath, water besoms, steam – don’t burn, heat up – don’t sear, don’t fell off the shelf.
Bath procedure – is a science with its own rules and laws. And only strictly observing these rules, you will get a true pleasure and benefit. Our bath attendants have the experience of more than fifteen years, and they will suggest how to get the most out of a visit of the bath, taking into account the peculiarities of your organism.
The first tip:
In the bath there should not be any fuss.
For example, sauna for the Finns is a holy concept, a place where peace reigns; we cannot quarrel and sort relationship out. “The anger dissipates steam.” Therefore, if in a steam room there is no atmosphere of slowness, of total relaxation, the nervous system will not rest and get the desired effect from the visit.
The second tip:
It is not recommended
to take a steam bath immediately after eating; you need to wait at least an hour. Do not drink a lot of liquids, and in any case don’t drink alcohol, but do not go to the bath if you’re hungry. After heavy and prolonged physical activity, you need to rest. The best time to go to the bath is after a strenuous mental work.
The third tip:
Before entering a steam room it is recommended to take a shower,
but with no soap, which washes away the fatty layer which prevents our skin from drying out. In no case you cannot moisten your head, so as not to cause overheating of the head. Then wipe your body dry. And put a towel on your head or a special cap that will prevent possible heat stroke.
The fourth tip:
Do not begin to take a steam bath at high temperature.
In our sauna the heating process can be adjusted, so it is recommended to start the steaming with a temperature of about 60 ° C. Then, the attendant or you personally raise the temperature little by little. While you are in the steam room, it is not recommended to climb right to the top shelf, because you must get used to the temperature. It is better to lie horizontally relaxing the muscles. Moreover, your legs should be slightly above the head. After the steaming it is recommended to take a warm shower, and after the second entry, you can dip into the pool with cold water. Before entering make a break for 10-15 minutes. And before the end of taking a steam bath – rest should be longer.
Tip fifth tip: for those who want to lose weight
If you want to lose weight, you should avoid drinking liquids within 2 hours after a bath, and if it is not possible, then in any case, do not drink carbonated beverages; the best drink is herbal tea.
The sixth tip:
The besom in the bath is the head; the besom in the bath is the master. No bath can be without a besom. A besom improves metabolism, cleans pores. After the besom massage unnecessary toxins are excreted. Phytoncides, which are in the leaves of besom and in herbs, neutralize disease-causing microbes. The skin becomes smooth and elastic. Soap massage and peeling, which are taken in the Roman thermae, promotes skin rejuvenation. Without Russian bath besom sauna is not so good. The besoms can be different: birch, pine, oak, etc. – you may choose what you like. Baths lovers consider birch besom being the best. It is very flexible and quite strong. Birch leaf surface is porous and rough, contacting with the skin and absorbing sweat well. In addition, birch is eutherapeutic and has beneficial effect on skin.
– Oak besom is equal to a birch besom. Although oak leaves absorb sweat a little bit worse, but an oak besom is stronger than birch one and can prolong the pleasure of visiting the steam bath for a few times. Oak leaves are big, wide, dense, they pump steam well; a steamed besom is like a fan, light and durable. That besom is usually used by those who enjoy a good warm up.
Steaming with a besom is not for everyone. It is an art. There are a few “golden” rules that must be followed necessarily:
1. A besom should be moist. It must be periodically moistened with warm water.
2. A sense of steaming with a besom is not to whip each other full-blast. A besom – is not an instrument of torture. It forces heat, massages the skin. Therefore, the attendant’s movements should be soft only lightly touching the body.
3. If in the steam room it is very hot, swing a besom carefully. The steam can burn the skin.
